HAPPY NATIONAL RUNNING DAY/WEEK!
Greetings Friends In Training, THIS SATURDAY! BIG MILESTONE! 6 MILES ALL SMILES :) We are so excited about our 6 miles this Saturday! It is our firsT 10K of the season and a big milestone for some of you. You will do great! Don’t forget to hydrate and keep up the great work! (more details below) SEMINAR THIS SATURDAY: INJURY PREVENTION PART ONE. Important! Do not miss this week’s seminar! OTHER GENERAL INFO! NIAGARA FALLS MARATHON UPDATE We are super excited about the Niagara Falls Marathon! We have sent our group registrations and have already started to receive our confirmation emails. We have 44 members going so far. YAY! DO NOT GET LEFT BEHIND!! If you did not get to register with our event coordinator Denise last Saturday, please know we will be collecting applications again on June 24th so you can still register with us as a group. We will not be able to offer the group discount at this time, but you can still register with us! It will be great! Don’t forget, you must have a valid passport. We are also working on group rates for travel arrangements, hotels, etc. Denise will follow up with Travel Agent once we know more closely how many are going. Family members are welcome. As promised, we have compiled a list of informal options available to you. Feel free to join us! To check out the list, please Click Here and let us know if you have any questions. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN GOING OVER SUNRISE BRIDGE!! Dear members, please note the Sunrise Bridge will undergo some renovations from now until July. BE SURE TO PRACTICE PROPER RUNNING ETTIQUTE! SINGLE FILE ON THE BRIDGES AND NARROW SIDEWALKS PLEASE!!! Practicing proper etiquette when running/walking is extremely important! We would like to ask you to please follow this etiquette SPECIALY on Saturdays. Since we have such a large group, which is great! :) we need to make sure we keep single file on the bridges and narrow sidewalks allowing room for others to pass. 6 MILES THIS SATURDAY! This Saturday, all groups will go out for a 6 mile walk/run. Please note the different start times according to your group! Please be at the park 15 minutes prior to your start time. Group A (14-16 min/mile pace) - 6:15 AM Group B (12-14 min/mile pace) - 6:30 AM Group C (10.5-12 min/mile pace) -6:45 AM Group D (9.0-10.5 min/mile pace)-6:45 AM Group E (< 9.0 min/mile pace) - 6:45 AM Please don't forget to bring your water bottle and a towel.
