New Newsletter Sections Coming Up! Do you have a training success story you would like to share? We want to hear your story! Starting in May we will be publishing short but inspiring success stories. If you are interested in sharing yours, please send it to [email protected] Also, we will be having a “Training Tip of the Week” section starting in May. Stay tuned!

Our Seminar this Saturday is "Train Safe, Train Happy! Running and Walking Safety" Brought to you by your Assistant Coaches Debbie and Lars. Safety is important! Join us this Saturday and learn through this fun presentation the importance of practicing safety while training. A handout with valuable safety tips will be distributed after the seminar. You don’t want to miss it!

Parking at George English Park Reminder! Please do not use the Tennis Parking Spots as they are reserved for the Tennis Players. If you use Tennis spots, you are at risk of getting a ticket. Alternate parking can be found across the street or by the school area.

Registration Update! Our sign up sessions are over, we will be now only accepting registrations on a case-by- case basis depending on your training and fitness level. If interested or if questions, please contact [email protected]

FIRST SOCIAL EVENT OF THE SEASON! FLAMENCO ANYONE?
Join your Friends In Training at a fun Flamenco Dance Show on Saturday May 9th at 6:30 pm at the River of Grass Artpark Susan B. Katz of the Performing Arts Theater (17195 Sheridan St. Building U Pembroke Pines, Fl 33313) Tickets are $20 per person. If interested, please email Denise at [email protected] by Tuesday May 5th.
 
SATURDAY, MAY 2nd
This Saturday, all groups will go out for a 4 mile walk/run. Please note the different start times according to your group!

Please be at the park 15 minutes prior to your start time.

Group A (14-16 min/mile pace) - 6:45 AM

Group B (12-14 min/mile pace) - 6:45 AM

Group C (10.5-12 min/mile pace) -7:00 AM

Group D (9.0-10.5 min/mile pace)-7:00 AM

Group E (< 9.0 min/mile pace) - 7:00 AM

Congratulations Daniela’s 5K participants

We would like to congratulate all the FIT members who participated in the Daniela’s 5K last Sunday. A special congratulations goes out to Christy and Veronica, who placed first and second place respectively in their age groups. Way to go ladies! You made us so proud!

A good luck and ride safe wish goes out to all FIT members who will be participating in the MS150 Bike ride this weekend. Have fun! enjoy the journey, and be safe!
