This Saturday! (August 28) Our Fall group will go for a big 16 miler! Wooo Hoo! We are talking big numbers here!
Remember to check our Long Run Planning Check List.
and don't forget to bring a recovery drink/snack for after the run!
Our Winter and Half-marathon groups will join for 6 miles. Good luck everyone! Please see the start times at the conclusion of this email.

SEMINAR THIS SATURDAY:
NUTRITION FOR RUNNERS AND WALKERS!!With JASON STEVENSON, MS RD LDN

Join us this Saturday as we welcome Jason Stevenson, a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Nutritionist (LDN) who has been teaching nutrition and exercise strategies in the South Florida area since 1992.

Jason holds a Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition Science from Florida International University and has successfully fulfilled the Master’s Dietetic Internship at Tulane University in New Orleans, a program into which only six individuals nationally among hundreds of applicants were accepted. Don’t miss this informative seminar where you will learn all about the best foods for athletes before, during, and after their workouts, have your questions answered and much more!

INTRODUCING PERSONAL TRAINING!!!

We are thrilled to announce that we now also offer Personal Training! We are partnering with Personal Trainer Diego Rutenberg, who you had the pleasure to meet last Saturday at the Seminar. Diego holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, He is a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, and an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer. An accomplished athlete and sportsman, Diego has finished two Ironman Triathlons, more than a dozen marathons around the world, and more than fifty triathlons and long distance running events in a 25-year athletic career.

FALL SPEED TRAINING IN HIGH GEAR AT CENTRAL PARK TUESDAYS 7:00 PM!

Attention Fall Members ! We are excited to announce our Speed Training Sessions for Fall season members are underway! We have some new GREAT track workouts to help you get faster and stronger, and we have hired Coach Bob for a few weeks to work along with Assistant Coach Veronica, and provide our members with valuable tips, help and support on the track as needed. You DO NOT want to miss it ! We are having a GREAT turn out at our speed training sessions! Whoo Hooo!

Winter members are welcome to join us at Central Park for regular training runs, however, we do not recommend Winter members to join the track workouts just yet, as they need to work on building up a strong base before, just as our Fall members have been doing for the last 3 months. Please note that as we meet earlier and earlier for our long mile training run/walks, we highly encourage you to join and stay with the group, and avoid going out by yourself in the dark! We also encourage you to follow our official route and be there on time so you can hear when the route is being announced.

Hi Marcela,

I am writing to tell you how pleased and impressed I am with the FIT program. It's just as the website describes it: friendly and effective. I am achieving a new level of fitness and I thank your leadership and the support and motivation from our assistant coaches, Brett and Celeste. Yesterday, Brett led our "B Group" and we completed our first 6 miler!

Next weekend, I will be out of town attending the American Cancer Society annual convention where I have been nominated to serve as Chairman/President of the Florida Division. The following weekend is Labor Day and I will be spending the weekend in North Florida where I have signed up to run in a 5K race.

We're glad to hear you are enjoying our program and we are so happy you joined us!! we are very proud of all your accomplishments. You are absolutely amazing and you are such an inspiration to all of us!
