KEEP IT COOL!!! -Are you over heating on Saturday mornings? Use the beach showers!! With the high temperatures we are experiencing, it is easy to get over heated. We highly encourage you to keep your body cool by pouring water on your head, or simply get your head/body under the beach shower! This is not only refreshing, but fun!! :) here are a few other tips for keeping your body cool: -Bring a small cooler with ice!! You can bring ice and after the run, put it on your neck, your head, face, etc. You can also enjoy the ice on your recovery drink. "Clean ice" that is :)!! -Bring a small towel for your face and neck! You can get your towel wet at the showers or water stops and put it nice and cold on your neck, head and face! -Hydrate! FULL MARATHONERS: 10 Mile run/walk Group A (14-16 min/mile pace) – No Group A participants meeting at this time Group B (12-14 min/mile pace) - 5:30 AM Group C (10.5-12 min/mile pace) -5:45 AM Group D (9.0-10.5 min/mile pace)-6:00 AM Group E (< 9.0 min/mile pace) - 6:15 AM HALF MARATHONERS: 5 Mile run/walk Group A (14-16 min/mile pace) – 6:30 AM Group B (12-14 min/mile pace) - 6:30 AM Group C (10.5-12 min/mile pace) -No Group C participants meeting at this time Group D (9.0-10.5 min/mile pace)-No Group D participants meeting at this time Group E (< 9.0 min/mile pace) - No Group E participants meeting at this time FITNESS WALKERS! Group A Fitness Walkers meet for a 7:30 am take off! WINTER 30 MIN WALK/RUN! All Winter Participants will be going out for a 30 minute Run/Walk after sign ups. Be sure to come prepared! Please don't forget to bring your water bottle and a towel. We are looking forward to seeing you then! :)
